Empire State Magazine is the new source for everything a tourist, business traveler or even native New Yorker needs to fully enjoy the city. The 48-page, full color, glosssy magazine explores the knocks and crannies of the city to bring information and entertaining features and columns to a wide variety of users. Empire State Magazine readers are informed about upcoming events, history of landmarks, obscure musuems and attractions, children’s activities, business traveler tips and life in the Big Apple.
Empire State Magazine.com is updated seven days a week, 52 weeks a year with update to minute events, attractions and city information.
Distribution
Empire State Magazine’s distribution is to hotels, restaurants and bars in the high traffic areas of New York City. Empire State Magazine also has boxes in many locations in mid-town Manhattan that offer free issues to tourist and business traveler foot traffic. Empire State Magazine is also given free to tenants in the Empire State Building.

Artwork Requirements
LIVE AREA
Live matter should be kept to a minimum .5 from all bleed edges. Include standard crop, bleed, centermarks and color bars as well as name of file/advertiser.
COLOR/DPI
All ads must be CMYK. No RGB files will be accepted. No spot colors will be accepted.
Images must be a minimum of 300dpi at final size.
Image density settings: Maximum density – 280%. Dot gain – 20%.
FONTS
Fonts MUST be embedded or converted to outlines. Only use Type-1, no True Type or Font Substitution. Fonts should not be smaller than 5pt, with reversed text no smaller than 8pt.
FORMATS ACCEPTED
Digital ads are accepted in the following formats: high-resolution pdf using PDF-X1a settings, EPS or Tif. Please note: jpegs are not accepted.
TRAPPING
All desired trapping must be included in the files of the advertiser.
PDF NOTES
Do not embed ICC Profiles.
