If you are looking for a unique dining experience, look no further than Hakubai Restaurant located in Kitano Hotel. Hakubai serves traditional Japanese favorites at lunch, but during dinner hours serves the distinctive Kaiseki cuisine noted for exquisite presentation as well as its delicate taste.
Hakubai Restaurant
An authentic Kaiseki dinner starts with an appetizer of minced young fish and vegetables, followed by a light soup. Next up is a lacquer box containing superb sashimi, or when in season, the rare treat of fugu (blowfish), considered one of Japan’s greatest delicacies. This is followed by the chef’s choice of either a boiled or simmered dish, usually vegetables and the freshest fish. A fried dish will come next, with Hakubai’s astounding Teriyaki steak or pork or fresh fish. If you can believe it, two more courses are coming: a vinegar dish of clams dressed in miso followed by a course of rice and pickles. Fruit or a light dessert finally arrives to complete this memorable meal.

Prices for a full Kaiseki dinner can range from $85 to $150 per person. A la Carte menu is also available. So if you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, definitely check out this critical acclaimed restaurant.
