From Tiger Ridge visitors can watch the tigers frolic in their own private Tiger Pool. Unlike house cats, tigers love water, and play, swim, drink and lounge at their water hole. Tiger Ridge also has headphones that allow you to listen to “tiger talk.” Learn what chuffling, growling and roaring mean as tigers talk to each other and to their keepers.
Tiger Valley is an open viewing shelter set deep in the exhibit, allowing you to get up close and personal to these wonderful animals. This is a great place to watch the Enrichment Sessions (see daily schedule) and even try out some of the tigers’ toys yourself!
The best time to visit Tiger Mountain in later in the afternoon, since like all cats, they spend most of the day napping.
Daily Tiger Enrichment Schedule
Year Round: 11:30 a.m., 1:30 & 3:30 p.m. daily
During the summer season (April–October), an additional weekend session takes place at 4:30 p.m.
